Who is the one

One eminent ascetic in search of truth comes a long way and come finally to the Lord Vishnu he asked him directly that who is he is he the final truth? Vishnu answered that I don't know may lord Shiva know it you please go to him and ask that what is the truth? Ascetic did the same and go to Lord Vishnu and asked him are you the truth? He said I don't know may 'The One' who creates me know that what is the truth, better you asked Shri Hari Vishnu because he is very close to 'The One', the ascetic again goes to Lord Vishnu and asked him again that are you the Truth? I don't know but may be my creator knows it, Who is your creator? Ask the ascetic I don't I think 'The One' who is created by 'The One' knows it. Ascetic remembers that Shiva told him that his creator is 'The One' and one who understands 'The one' could be Shiva, he again go to Shiva and asked are you know 'The One' I only know the protector and he only knows 'The One', now what? The ascetic again goes to the Lord Vishnu and ask him that who is the one and whom you worship? I only know 'The One' who is created by 'The One', the ascetic again goes to Lord Shiva where he saw that Lord Shiva chanting the mantra 'Om Namah Bhagwate Vasudevaya' by seeing this ascetic becomes embezzled and ask Lord Shiva is Lord Vishnu is 'The One'? Shiva replied that better you go and asked Lord Vishnu himself, ascetic do the same but when he went to Lord Vishnu here Vishnu chanting ' Om Namah Shivaya' now what? What these supreme gods want to tell me? At this moment Lord Shiva appeared there and both the lords stand together, ascetic asked who is 'The one' are one of you is the one?
